Santiago Ríos Aragüés was born in Saragossa (Spain) in 1943. He is married and has four daughters and eleven grandchildren. He is a mining engineer with a PhD in geology. Currently retired.

As a painter, he is self-taught. Since October 1995, when he entered the “Estudio Goya”, he practices painting and drawing regularly.

In December 2004, he left his job as an engineer in order to undertake a full-time painting profession.

He has participated in sixteen individual exhibitions and more than fourty collectives.

Since april 2005, he collaborates with Heraldo de Aragón, the leading regional journal, by supplying his drawings to illustrate their musical reviews . The drawings are made while attending the concerts held at the Auditorium of Zaragoza (see published).
